The e-catalogue is useful to send as an attachment to emails, at just over a megabyte in size, and keeps customers up to date with products available. Regular contact with existing customers is a good way of encouraging repeat business, and where new products are being introduced frequently there is always something new to share with customers and new prospects.

This is an example of how an electronic document can provide greater benefits than the printed version. For instance, clicking on the indexed page numbers takes the reader directly to the page required, and the document also behaves like a selection wizard, helping the reader find the product best suited to his needs. The product identification codes are hyper-links which lead to the appropriate page of the manufacturer's on-line shop.
